The Putney School is a progressive, co-educational boarding and day school for grades 9-12 with ~230 students located in Putney, Vermont. Position Summary: The Putney School is seeking a head climbing instructor with a minimum of AMGA Single Pitch Instructor Certification, who has experience working with teenagers both on indoor rock walls and in outdoor settings. Experience with rock wall route setting is a plus. The Putney School has an indoor climbing wall with 3 ropes. The climbing afternoon activity supports students of all abilities. The class meets on Wednesdays from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. There will be an assistant instructor and ten students in the class. Compensation will be $50/hour. The afternoon activity will start on September 15 and end on November 17. There will be no class on October 13, as students will be on break. There may be a possibility of leading climbing trips on the weekends for extra pay.
