applications for the following positions:
Equipment Operator
Minimum Training/Experience – High school diploma or GED. Employee must have
experience in the safe operation of a tractor, backhoe or loader. Must possess a valid class B-CDL license or able to obtain required license within three (3) months of employment. Be able to obtain certification as a Non-Department of Corrections Inmate Supervisor within six (6) months of employment. Be able to perform physical labor and be able to perform related work as required and other duties as assigned.

Laborer
Minimum Training/Experience – High school diploma or GED. Employee must have
experience in the safe operation of small equipment and general knowledge of plumbing and waterline repair. Must possess a valid class B-CDL license or able to obtain required license within three (3) months of employment. Be able to obtain certification as a
Non-Department of Corrections Inmate
Supervisor within six (6) months of employment. Be able to perform physical labor and be able to perform related work as required and other duties as assigned.

Water/Wastewater Operator
To operate, service, and maintain a
wastewater plant, sprayfield, and collection system which meets or exceeds state and federal permit requirements. Employee must have a Class C Water and Wastewater operator certification/Florida. Must possess a valid class B-CDL license or able to obtain required license within three (3) months of employment. High school diploma or equivalent; minimum of two years experience in wastewater field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical training is desired.

Public Works Director
Needs considerable ability to plan, organize, assign, supervise and direct the work of public works employees. Also needs to be able to supervise and instruct state inmates in a safe environment for himself/herself, fellow employees and civilians. Needs to have the skills necessary to supervise, organize, and
direct the various complex operations of the Public Works Department. This department
includes maintenance of all street, sidewalk and parks, equipment and vehicle maintenance, stormwater drainage, water distribution system, sewer collection, and wastewater treatment and facilities. Plans, organizes,
coordinates, supervises and evaluates
programs, plans, services, equipment and
infrastructure of the public works department. Performs related work as required and other duties as assigned. High school diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of four (4) years of public works experience, with at least two (2) years of the required experience with utility operations at a supervisory level or greater is highly desirable. Any equivalent combination of education and experience can substitute on a year for year basis. Must have or be able to obtain a Non-DOC Supervisor Certificate.
